Landscape Project With New Turf

Project Overview

Our residential client in Coorparoo wanted their tired front and rear lawns transformed into a fresh, low-maintenance outdoor space that looked great all year and was easy to care for.

As a local gardening and landscaping company, we were engaged to provide a complete solution from site preparation through to new lawn installation and aftercare protection.

The aim is to create a healthy, family-friendly lawn that thrives in Brisbane’s climate, adds visual appeal to the front of the home, and showcases our landscaping expertise.

Challenges

Before turf installation, the yard was a flat, dry and mostly barren space with scattered branches, logs and piles of green waste across the surface. The soil was hard and compacted, with a layer of leaf litter that hid any remaining roots or uneven patches.

Established trees and surrounding gardens also created mixed sun and shade conditions, so the new lawn needed to cope with both while still delivering a consistent finish.

The gardening team planned carefully around the existing vegetation and debris to create a clean, even base suitable for a healthy new turf installation.

Our Process

• Cleared all overgrowth and green waste from the front and rear yard.
• Mechanically tilled the soil to break up compaction and remove remaining weeds.
• Supplied, delivered, and installed a premium turf blend soil to improve drainage and root development.
• Acelepryn was applied to give the new lawn up to three months of grub protection.
• Added high-quality starter fertiliser to give the new lawn the best possible start.
• Prepared and levelled the base in readiness for turfing.
• Supplied and installed approximately 145 sqm of Zoysia Matrella turf, ideal for Brisbane conditions and residential gardens in Coorparoo.

Safety and Planning

Before getting started, our landscape team walked through the site with the homeowner to confirm access, protect the existing garden beds, and plan the safest way to move materials and equipment.

As licensed, insured gardening professionals, we followed our standard safety procedures for equipment, soil delivery and manual handling.

Our crew communicated each step with the client so they always knew what was happening on site and how to care for their new lawn once we left.

Within a short time, the property was transformed from dry, barren soil into a lush, green Zoysia Matrella lawn, instantly giving the home a fresh and inviting look.

The project was delivered as a complete lawn laying and edging solution, from ground preparation through to final clean up, and the property is now set up for any future landscaping, irrigation or seasonal maintenance requirements.
